Get to know…. Par It Out Golf

At Zeon Golf, we’re proud to have a dedicated community of content creators. We are selective when deciding on our ambassadors, and are keen to work with individuals who share our vision for modern, well-fitting golf wear such as our new Benzion Navy Tech Bomber

Over the coming months, we want to help you get to know our Zeon Golf ambassadors better. We are starting off with two lads local to ourselves on the Fylde coast, Cal and Adam of Par It Out Golf

Let’s start with the why. People play golf for a variety of reasons but Cal and Ad, what are your main reasons for playing?

Cal: I’ve played golf since the age of 10 and had the bug ever since! It was great because everyone in our little friendship group played golf, so during our summer holidays we would spend every single day at the golf course. Our parents would drop us off at 8am and pick us back up at 6pm! We would play 36 holes, go hunting for balls around the course, gamble our Pro V 1’s over a putting competition. We still talk about them glory days and what we’d give to go back and relive it. But why I play the game, is just because I love it and the constant chase for improvement.

Adam: My main reason for playing is the fact that I needed a new hobby after a knee operation however, I love the social aspect of golf and the fact that everyone has their own way of playing it. A butty and a beer halfway through. What’s not to love!

Losing Pro V1s and having a beer halfway round, it’s now obvious why Zeon Golf and Par It Out Golf collaborate so well! Elaborating on that, what’s your earliest golfing memory?

Cal: My first golfing memory still scars me to this day, was when I first went out on the course (at 10 years old) with my mate and his mum and I shot a 13 on a 110 yard par 3. that’s how bad I was when I first started out nearly 20 years ago, I literally topped it all the way down to the hole.

Adam: My earliest golfing memory was back in the winter of 2017, I’d come back home for Christmas and myself and Cal booked a round of golf on Boxing Day, which was my first ever round on a golf course. It was cold, my clubs were brand new and I ended up throwing my hand-me down driver into one of the lakes because I couldn’t use it.

Two answers that are fairly different then, Cal who has been playing since the age of 10 but Ad who has started just over five years ago. I’d be interested to know how you would describe your channel, Par It Out Golf, to a stranger in the pub?

I think the best way to describe Par It Out Golf to a stranger is that it’s a social media page ran by 2 mates that like to document their golf by playing new courses, making light-hearted videos and just enjoying being out there on the course. We literally made the Instagram page on the way down to The Belfry as we wanted something that we could look back at in years to come and we just carried on after that golf trip.

And ever since that trip to The Belfry, the channel has just continued to grow with over 2,500 followers on Instagram. So let’s fast forward a year, what does Par It Out Golf as a channel look like?

In all honesty, we don’t put pressure on the page. We have milestones that we’d like to hit, of course, but we just enjoying putting fun stuff out there and seeing where it takes us. The opportunities it has given us already is amazing so anything extra is just a bonus.

Final question, outside of Par It Out golf, what do you both enjoy doing?

Cal: I have a young family, a 4-year-old son (Teddy) and a 4 month old daughter (Nelly) so they take up a lot of my time as you can imagine. But outside of golf, I’ve always been into football. I played ever since I can remember, favourite position was centre-mid and a massive Liverpool fan. I haven’t been able to go to Anfield for a few years now but, the little lads a bit older so, I’m hoping to take him for his first experience soon!

Adam: Just like Callum, I love my football and Spurs. If it wasn’t for my knee injury I’d still try and play. The last few years I’ve been lucky enough to live in the Lake District so myself and my fiancée love to Hike, we have our own Instagram page for that and I love my PlayStation. I have a little girl due in August so I’m really excited to become a dad and hopefully influence her to play the game we all love.

Well Cal and Ad, thank you for taking the time to introduce yourselves to the Zeon Golf community. For those who don’t already follow Par It Out Golf, you can drop them a follow here

Until next time, swing easy out there brothers.
