Golf in 2024 – what should you keep an eye out for?

Before we provide a snapshot of three new drivers you need to keep an eye out for over the next year, we want to say a big thank you from us at Zeon Golf.

Having launched in March 2023, we’ve been blown away by all of the support that you have shown over the past ten months and we can’t wait to bring out new ranges in the first few months of 2024! Keep an eye out on our Instagram and Facebook pages for our new offerings coming soon 😉

Other than new Zeon Golf clothing, what else are we excited to see in 2024? Well, there are three drivers that we will definitely be considering when deciding on how to spend our Christmas money, starting with a club that we’ve already seen Rory swinging!

2024 TaylorMade Qi10 driver

Now this driver was first seen in November 2023 being swung by Rory McIlroy, the first professional to be seen publicly using the driver, and it’s certainly peaked our interest! In the last couple of years, we’ve had both the SIM and Stealth drivers from TaylorMade, which both were enjoyed by professional and amateur golfers alike, and we can’t see a reason why the new Qi range won’t enjoy the same success.

Like the Stealth, the Qi10 will also use a carbon fibre face, which will actually be created using 60 layers of ultra-thin carbon strips that will offer more flex than a traditional titanium face without impacting the sound. We also know the standard lofts for the Qi10 will be 9 and 10.5 degrees, so we can’t wait to try both of these out!

The bad news, we don’t yet know the release date for the Qi10, but traditionally TaylorMade have mad them available in mid to late February, so we don’t have too long to wait!

2024 Cobra Darkspeed driver

The second driver to catch our eye was the new offering from Cobra. The new Cobra driver seems to be continuing the feature of the H.O.T Face, which Cobra introduced in their 2022 LTDx range of drivers and is precisely tuned for increasing ball speed.

Cobra drivers do have a special place in our hearts, although they do seem to have flown under the radar a little over the past couple of years, especially against their PING and TaylorMade equivalents. From pictures, the Darkspeed does seem to be continuing to differentiate from its competitors, continuing with a matte grey finish with subtle flashes of carbon fibre. The expected lofts for the Darkspeed are expected to be 9, 10.5 and 12, and we are looking forward to test this bad boy!

2024 PING G430 Max 10K

What amateur golfer doesn’t love a PING driver. They not only look great, but PING drivers have also made some of the most forgiving drivers over the past three decades. And now we seem to have a new addition to the current range of G430 drivers , the G430 Max 10K.

We don’t know much about PING’s new addition yet, but we do expect there to be three loft versions available in 9, 10.5 and 12 degrees. We also expect that the face will continue to be a forged titanium face, which helps the face flex efficiently when impacting with the ball. There also seems to be a carbon-fly wrap design to the crown, which should help make the club lighter.

Again, like the Cobra, we don’t have a release date but the last release PING made was January 2023, so hopefully we should see this new addition to the PING line up hitting our shelves soon!

Let us know which you like best!

Swing easy out there brothers.
