Stuart Krog X Zeon Golf

Zeon Golf, alongside Callaway, are proud to be selected as the clothing partners of Stuart Krog, a professional golfer from Zimbabwe. We therefore sat down with Stuart to ask him about his golfing journey so far, and where he sees the future taking him.

Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with us. Let’s start with how you first got involved with the game of golf?

I was first introduced to golf by my Dad when I was around 10 years old. My Dad was a keen golfer and also had some experience caddying on tour, so we soon started to go to the local course on Sundays and play 9 holes. It didn’t take me long to get hooked to the game and I’ve never looked back.

Fantastic, and what a lovely way for you to first be introduced to the game! After your Dad introduced you to the sport, are there any other individuals that you feel have had a significant impact on your love of golf?

Well in fact both of my parents have always supported my dream to play golf. Another individual who has had a huge impact on my golfing journey so far was my first coach, Roger Baylis, who took me under his wing and taught me and many other Zimbabwean golfers the basics and fundamentals of the golf swing.

Both your parents and first coach obviously did a great job and you’ve already had some fantastic results during the 2024/25 Sunshine Tour, including 2nd at the FNB Eswatini Challenge. But is there one result from your career that you are particularly proud of?

I would have to say Sunshine Tour Q School last year. Whilst it was an incredibly nerve-racking and a pressure packed week, to manage and come out with my card was amazing and something I’m really proud of. It also gives me playing rights on the Sunshine Tour, which had been a goal of mine for a long time.

And it’s a tour that we can’t wait to watch your progress on! Looking forward now, are there any events you are especially looking forward to?

I am really looking forward to the first event of the next season, the Zimbabwe Open. It’s always great to play at home in that atmosphere with friends and family around. It’s awesome to start the new year at home.

Amazing! And to finish off, if you could speak to a younger golfer, or a young Stuart Krog, what piece of advice would you give?

I would tell him to stay patient and stick to his routines. Nothing happens overnight and in time it all falls into place.

Stuart, thanks again for your time! We can’t wait to watch you during the upcoming season and we are proud to be an official clothing partner!
